The Fibonacci spiral is a mathematical pattern where each number is the sum of the two preceding ones. This spiral occurs in abundance in nature, illustrating an inherent order in the natural world. The pattern is observed in the arrangement of leaves, seeds, and flowers. Seashells, hurricanes, and galaxies reflect this spiral form, revealing its deep-rooted presence in the universe's structure. In human anatomy, proportions close to the Fibonacci ratio are found in the structure of limbs, facial features, and DNA molecules.
This connection between mathematics and biology points to an underlying harmony that transcends complexity, seamlessly fitting art into everything it brings into existence. Extensively used in art and architecture, the spiral serves as a timeless symbol of euphony between art, math and nature.
Taking its concept to build on as my final output, I took the rose as a unit to justify the spiral. The petals of a rose are always in the Fibonacci sequence, blooming in a spiral. I used a plethora of roses to bring the spiral to life, retaining its significance in both nature and art.
